The last meet of the season, held at a very busy Oberlin College track, was very successful. Nearly every runner in the 60m dash improved her time from a month ago and the same could be said for most of the runners in the 4 x 800. All the times and splits can be found on the team's website.
Some special mentions include;
Claudia Gonzalez clearing a height for the first time ever in pole vault!
Riley Drellishak competing in triple jump for the first time!
Jessica Wrenn finishing third in triple jump!
Lauren Zawie making finals in the 60m dash
4 x 800 relay team of Olivia Battistoni, Grace Kelley, Mary Hyland, and Margaret Grant getting 2nd place!
Oberlin completes the regular indoor season, but the state indoor meet is coming up. Sophomore Emma Pesicka is currently ranked 13th in the shot put and will be competing this weekend. Also ranked but not currently competing is Jessica Wrenn in the triple jump (29th), and the 4 x 200m relay (29th). Top 18 performers that declare will compete at the state indoor meet.
This week there are no practices except for Emma. HOWEVER the rest of you should be active and stay fit. Whether you are running, doing hills, lifting, core, stretching, hip mobility, etc...DO SOMETHING!!!
See you next week!

Itinerary for SPIRE Feb 9th, 2017
Remember this is the final qualifier for the "all star meet" the following Friday. We can enter all relays plus anyone in the top 16 of their events.
Names in Italics are currently top 16.
Number in (parentheses) is the performance that is currently needed to be top 16.
For some of you these are nice goals to have this week. Now that you have a month of training you should be able to give your events a little more oomph!
