Team standings aren’t what we are focused on at this point, and yet I want to point out that these Spire meets are scored and we finished second behind Mentor with 85 points. But more important than that, we placed in every event except for one, which is a demonstration of our depth. We are competing against some of the strongest programs in northeast Ohio and we are doing quite well despite the fact that they’ve been training longer and more often than us. But that will even out in the coming months. Great job and keep it up!

The bus leaves at 3:30 as usual. They were talking about moving up the starting time for the JV mile from 5:15 to 5:00, but they have since decided not to do that. So we are back to the regular schedule--JV mile at 5:15, field events and 4x200 at 5:45.

In case you were wondering, the performances in parentheses on the above list are the performances that currently rank 16th in the Spire meets. The other division already had their third meet, so after our meet the rankings will be set. If you have designs on competing in the all-star meet on the 16th, you have to at least better the performance in parentheses.
