MD/distance - depending on footing we want to do some speed work - probably a fartlek on the track (lap on lap off) plus warm up and warm down.

Pole Vault with Coach Marquard at 4:15 (start with Kollin)
Varsity sprinters with Coach Turner on 3rd floor
Wednesday, March 5th - 31, snow
JV sprinters, vaulters and MD/distance YOGA in gym at 2:45. Bring $3.00 and a towel/mat. Anyone else on the team interested may also attend.
Thursday, March 6th - 27, snow
MD/distance - hills at Story road if conditions allow it.

This week's practices
For the week of February 25th...
Tuesday is a special schedule day. JV sprinters and throwers are asked to meet at their regular time (3:30) with their respective coaches.
Wednesday - JV sprinters, all mid-distance and distance, and pole vaulters meet in the gym for Yoga - bring $5.00 and a mat/towel. Yoga will definitely help with strength, balance, and flexibility. Our presenter will make this "running related" and not just some fluff class. It will be tough!
The rest of the week should go as normal. High jump practice to be announced.

Attention Throwers!
Throwers, pre-season conditioning will be starting for you on Wednesday Feb 20 and Thurs Feb 21st.
Meet with Mr. Baxendale (former Iggy and college thrower) after school until 4:30 or so in the weight room.
You will be doing basic throws drills, lifting, agility, and footwork.
Please spread the word and get fit!

Pole vault - meets with Coach Marquard after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Sprinters - meets with Coach Kollin after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Mid-distance and distance - meets with Coach Kieser after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
These are NOT mandatory sessions, but any conditioning you can do now will help.
You do need to have an up-to-date OHSAA physical on file.
