The bus leaves SJA at 8:30 am. The meet directors say the meet should be over by 2:30—we shall see. The track at BW is 200 meters long, while the track at Spire is 300 meters long. What that means is the turns are tighter. Also, while the surface at BW is good, it is not as good as Spire. Thus, what we are looking for here is effort instead of performance. It is possible you could give a better effort than you did at Spire but have a worse result. Those in the hurdles and short sprint should also note that the distance is 55 meters and not 60—not a huge difference, but in those events your time is likely to be faster Sunday no matter what. Again, don’t get too hung up on your performance but instead focus on your effort and your technique.
